Sending Data to Sensor via FTPInstructions For Ftp'ing Data to SensorYou can ftp your data to Sensor by using our anonymous ftp server. If you run into any problems please contact us at medxsupport@medicalnumerics.com. In the sequence of commands below, '%' denotes your Unix shell prompt, 'ftp>' denotes the ftp command prompt, <DIR> refers to the directory created for you by the Sensor customer support staff, and <FILE(S)> refers to the files that you want to ftp to us. If you start ftp from the directory where your data is located then you will not need to give the full Unix pathname for the <FILE(S)>. Instructions for sending a Folder are given below. After you have ftp'ed your data to us, please send email to the person who is working with you notifying him/her that the data is available to us. % ftp ftp.sensor.com

Sending Folder via ftpIf you want to send us a Folder, then it best to use the Folder Utilities under the File Menu on the main menu box to create a compressed archive. This will result in a single file that is smaller than your Folder reducing the time it takes to ftp the Folder. To ensure we get all of the data in your folder you will need to set the "Save All Pages Locally" property in the Folder Properties dialog box before saving the folder. Directions on setting this property are below.
You can now use the Filename you gave for the Archive File in your ftp session. Save All Pages Locally: If you have opened images into your folder from a file then MEDx by default will not save those images in the folder unless you have made changes to them. This saves unnecessary duplication of data and thus disk space. You can override this default by changing one of the folder properties. Select "Folder Properties" from the Folder menu. Turn on the button labelled "Save All Pages Locally". When you save this folder all of its pages including those opened from files will be saved in the folder directory. This property is folder specific, so you will need to set it for each folder that you want to apply this property. |
