MEDx Frequently Asked Questions - DICOM
Q: In the Open Image dialog box, I selected and opened multiple DICOM
files. This created a Group containing several icons, one for each file.
By opening these files as distinct items of a Group, MEDx seems to have
ignored the actual relationships between the images which I believe is
more complex in the case of this data set. What can I do to open these
images more appropriately, or simply in a different way?
In the DICOM Defaults dialog box, find the user option labeled 'Force
individual DICOM files and/or directories to be opened as separate items
in a Group?'. This option is set by MEDx to No by default. If this option
has been changed Yes, you can change it to No and try again. MEDx does
not use header information to relate DICOM images to each other when the
option is set to Yes.
Please refer to Figure 8-6 in Chapter
8 of the MEDx User's Guide for more information regarding what you
wish to achieve above.
