MEDx Frequently Asked Questions - DICOM
Q: There was a separate DICOM Send dialog box in MEDx in versions through
3.4.1. This dialog box appears to have been removed. Is this correct?
What happened? This dialog box was helpful to me because it enabled me
to specify a directory to send. How can I specify a directory to send?
Because we fully integrated the functionality of the DICOM Send dialog
box into the DICOM Manager in 3.4.2 and higher, along with the new capability
to send a single Series or a single Image, we have removed the DICOM Send
dialog box starting with 3.4.2. Whenever you wish to send DICOM data from
MEDx using the GUI, please use the Send buttons in the DICOM Manager.
In order to use the GUI to specify a directory to send in 3.4.2 and higher,
you can easily add (all of these images under) this directory into the
DICOM Manager (either directly or by using the recommended Add... button),
press the update button, and finally use the Send button of your choice
in the DICOM Manager.
In order to use ImageScript to specify a directory to send in 3.4.2 and
higher, you will need to create a Tcl list containing the images under
the directory (for example by using the glob command), and subsequently
pass this list to MxDICOMSend. Please also see this
